Two Performances to Celebrate Artistic Talents of RWU Community

Chorus, Instrumental Ensemble to perform culmination of semester's work

To continue the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Roger Williams University’s Performing Arts Center, Roger Williams University will host two nights of performances on Monday, Dec. 12 and Wednesday, Dec. 14. Both the Chorus and Instrumental Ensemble Concerts will showcase the musical talents of the RWU community.

The Chorus Concert marks the debut of a new Chorus Director at Roger Williams University. This will be Jonathan Richter’s first program at RWU, chosen both to present the students’ talents and to provide an entertaining evening of listening. Richter, who completed a Master of Music degree in choral conducting at Yale University, is also currently a director of the Youth Chorale and Youth Camerata at the New England Conservatory in Boston, Mass.

The Instrumental Ensemble is an all-campus concert band comprised of faculty, staff, alumni and undergraduates from the Music Department, as well as student musicians from across the campus community. In addition to an eclectic program of classical and popular music, the performance will feature numbers by the Treble Makers jazz combo and the RWU Brass Quintet.
