Michael Sekera '11 skillfully transforms ocean rubbish into a scrap sculpture

Bristol, R.I. – Frustrated by excess garbage piling up along Roger Williams University's waterfront, architecture major Michael Sekera '11 found a unique way to clean-up RWU's shoreline – he spent time collecting bags of rubbish and used his findings to create a trash sculpture.

The arch-shaped piece – strung together with cans, plastic containers, articles of clothing and more – is displayed along the fence behind Cedar residence hall.
