All members of the RWU community are invited to this weekly group aimed at helping you to better cope with the stressors of the modern world. Both eastern and western teachings will be utilized and the sessions will incorporate gentle stretching, meditation, imagery, deep breathing and relaxation training. The class will be led by Counselor Debbie Knapman from the RWU Center for Student Development. Please feel free to join us if you are interested in learning and practicing these age-old approaches. Please wear comfortable clothing.

The Intercultural Center is proud to present the 11th annual celebration of our global citizens of RWU. This event is allows community members to represent their heritage and experience the heritage of those around them. The event hosts tabling, a global fashion show, performances from our students, in addition to tastes from around the world. DORCAS International Institute of RI will be collecting clothing donations for the second year in a row. This year in correspondence with the University's "Quest for Refuge" series, we will have a refugee tent. This will allow participants to step in and experience a sample home of refugees around the world. Don’t miss the opportunity to be a global citizen and share this eye-opening experience.

A panel of experts from Roger Williams University, the press and the Republican Party will delve into what it all means for reporters and politicians, the public and our democracy. They’ll go in-depth on issues touched upon in the #RWU1stAmendment blog, addressing past precedents and future implications, legal issues and journalistic practices, old-school campaigning and the new media landscape. In collaboration with the Governor's Director of Food Strategy and Á La Rhody, Roger Williams University will present a forum exploring how the state can improve food recovery in Rhode Island. Across the country, colleges and universities have made formal commitments to reducing food waste and improving food recovery. This panel brings together representatives from community agencies, local government and Rhode Island colleges and universities to explore strategies for a more coordinated food recovery response in our state. In addition to a panel discussion, the event will feature an exhibition titled, "On the Table," and breakout sessions exploring food insecurity and food recovery.
