Social Justice Week: Modern Slavery in New England

October 24, 2013
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Location: FCAS 157
  • Open to the Public

Do you think slavery is over? Do you think it only happens in other parts of the world? There are more slaves in the world today than there have ever been in the past, and it is happening in your community. In "Modern Slavery: An Expert Panel on Human Trafficking in New England," a panel of local experts from the Providence Police Department, the Attorney General's Office, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will discuss human trafficking in New England. This event is part of Social Justice Week 2013, and is sponsored by the School of Justice Studies, in collaboration with the Department of History and American Studies. This is a merit point event.
