Shelley Puhak is the author of "Stalin in Aruba," winner of the 2010 Towson Prize for Literature, and the chapbook "The Consolation of Fairy Tales," winner of the 2011 Stephen Dunn Prize. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in "Alaska Quarterly Review," "Beloit Poetry Journal," "The Kenyon Review," and "The Missouri Review" and are included in anthologies, such as "A Face to Meet the Faces: An Anthology of Contemporary Persona Poetry" and "Adrienne Rich: A Tribute Anthology." Puhak is assistant professor of English at Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore. She is featured in the 9th year of National Poetry Month @ RWU, and her program is co-sponsored by Alive! Arts and the RWU Department of English Literature and Creative Writing.
