Three days of film screenings will take place on April 18, 20 and 23, as part of the Jewish Experience Film Series, which focuses on the global Jewish experience through short films, documentary, media guest speakers. All events are free and open to the public. This is a merit point event for RWU students.

The 12th Annual Roving Eye International Film Festival created by Roger Williams University in partnership with Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) kicks off April 17th and runs through the 23rd. Kicking off the festival will be a screening of the award-winning documentary "Pell" by director Steven Feinberg that chronicles the creation of the Pell Educational Grants. This year’s programming features over 60 films from across the world including Academy Award nominees and winners, numerous world and US Premieres; panel discussions/symposia; visiting filmmakers and student film showcases. The event will conclude with the Spring 2017 Soforenko Foundation Film/Speaker Series On The Jewish Experience on April 18, 20 and 23. The sidebar program on The Jewish Experience will feature short films, documentary, media and guest speakers. This year’s programming explores representations of the Jewish experience in Israel, across the globe and the Holocaust through 15 premiere films.
