The Celebration of Writing features writing as a process and a product. Students and faculty will be on hand to discuss projects, course and program outcomes, and answer questions. Among the many genres this event will highlight are posters, brochures, essays, reports, narratives, social justice and CPC projects, and digital compositions. Audiences for these projects include academic, public/community, and professional. Awards from the 2013 Writing Contest will be announced and presented shortly after 9:00 a.m. We invite you to stop in throughout the day to see the landscape of writing that emerges when students employ Discourse Community Knowledge, Rhetorical Knowledge, Writing Process Knowledge, Subject Matter Knowledge, and Metacognition. Join us for food, fun, and fundamental knowledge-making as we celebrate writing.
