Birss Lecture Series: Book Discussion Group of "The Bell Jar"

The RWU Honors Program and RWU Library present a discussion of Sylvia Plath's "The Bell Jar" kicks off the 13th Annual Professor John Howard Birss, Jr. Memorial Lecture Series. This year's Birss Memorial Lecture Series celebrates the 50th anniversary of "The Bell Jar." RWU professors James Tackach and Becky Spritz will moderate the discussion. This event is co-sponsored by the University Honors Program and RWU Library.

As part of the annual lecture series, Karen N. Kukil, special collections librarian at Smith College, will deliver the keynote address, "The Bell Jar at 50," on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 3:30 pm in GHH G01; and a special exhibition on Sylvia Plath and "The Bell Jar" shows in the University Library from February 1 to March 10. Christine Fagan, RWU collection development & acquisitions librarian, and Karen N. Kukil prepared the special exhibit.

All events are free and open to the public. The RWU Feinstein College of Arts and Sciences presents this annual lecture series.
